Meet Linda Hammock
Linda uses her
Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia
combined with over twenty years management experience to provide
professional financial management to organizations that do not
require a full-time Controller or Chief Financial Officer. Her
experience includes more than twelve years as controller or
chief financial officer in companies in the banking, health
care, manufacturing and consulting industries with up to $50
million in annual revenues. Linda played a vital financial
role in two start-up companies, Premier Bancshares (subsequently
acquired by BB&T) and Premier Anesthesia, Inc. She served as
Chief Financial Officer during the initial public offering that
netted over $28 million and a listing on NASDAQ for Premier
Anesthesia. Both companies enjoyed rapid growth from internal
operations and by strategic acquisitions. She has extensive
experience in the staffing and management of accounting
departments, ranging from "hands-on" experience as a department
of one to developing, hiring, training and managing a full staff
for a publicly-traded company. Linda worked with a $100 million
international chemicals company in Chapter 11 reorganization,
LaRoche Industries, Inc., where she served in a variety of roles
including final Form 10K filing, all financial reporting and
serving as acting controller during LaRoche's emergence from
bankruptcy.
In addition to providing
financial management services, Linda develops computer models
for budgeting and forecasting a company's profit and loss as
well as its cash flow. She also develops management reporting
packages customized for a business's unique needs and prepares
profitability improvement reviews along with recommendations for
implementing potential profit improvements. Linda performs
operational audits of accounting and finance functions and
assists management in planning the operations and support
systems that will provide adequate controls without creating
bureaucracies. She has particular expertise in rapidly growing
companies.
Linda is a Certified
Public Accountant and has been active in her profession as a
member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society
of CPAs. At the state level in the Georgia Society of CPAs, she
has served as Chairman of the CPAs in Industry Section for the
past two years and was selected by the President of the Georgia
Society of CPAs to receive the prestigious 2004 Outstanding
Section Leader award. She also has chaired several Decision
Makers' Conference committees. Linda is active in her
community supporting a number of local charity horse show events
and as a volunteer at Cochran Mill Nature Center.
